Guam - Today's primary election will decide the Mayor and Vice Mayor of Tamuning.Current Mayor Francisco Blas is being challenged by current Vice Mayor Louis Rivera; both candidates are on the Republican ticket.
Mayor Blas told PNC that he and Rivera have worked as a team so he doesn't understand why she is challenging him now. Rivera said she would continue to support Mayor Blas if he is reelected but said she felt a lot of support from her village.

Running against one another on the Republican ticket for Vice Mayor are Rudy Borja and Kenneth Santos.
?I was asked to run,? Borja told PNC. ?I've done a lot of work with the government.?
?Why am I running, I wanna help the youth program a lot more, help the community a lot more,? Santos said.
There were no Democratic candidates in the race for Tamuning Mayor or in the race for the Vice Mayor of Tamuning.
Mongmong/Toto/Maite also only had Republican candidates on the ballot for Mayor with Incumbent Andy Villagomez facing Tito Iglacios Castro and Antonio Taijeron Cruz today.? In Talofofo Mayor Vincente Taitague faces Goring Duenas for Mayor on the Democratic ballot.? Incumbent Mayor of Chalan Pago/Ordot Jessy Gogue is up against challenger David Quintanilla on the Democratic ticket with no Republican candidates.?
Barrigada Vice Mayor candidates Jessie Perez Bautista and May Ignacio Fejarang are on the Democratic ticket with Republican challengers.? Sinajana Vice Mayor Candidates Manuel Duenas, Rudy Iriarte and Cynthia Eclavea are also all running under the Democratic party.
